Repotting in eight steps

1. Choose a pot

   Choose a container suited to the plant and root ball with clear drainage holes.

2. Prepare

   Keep compost and plant ready; lightly moisten the root ball beforehand if needed.

3. Release the plant

   Gently remove the palm from its pot. Keep the dense root ball intact where possible and avoid unnecessarily cutting healthy roots.

4. Add a base layer

   Add enough compost to maintain the previous planting depth.

5. Position the root ball

   Centre the plant and keep the root collar uncovered.

6. Fill around

   Fill gaps in layers and firm gently, leaving watering space.

7. Water in

   Water evenly and allow excess water to drain fully.

8. Continue care

   Monitor moisture and position. Use the initial nutrients in the compost; after 4–6 weeks consider further feeding needs.

Prepare the fertiliser separately

5 ml per 1.5 litres of water. The label gives 5 ml per 1.5–2.5 litres. The GREEN24 standard dilution uses 1.5 litres; repeat according to growth, normally April–September, and follow tropical species’ growth periods.

1. Shake

   Shake the concentrate before use.

2. Prepare water

   Pour the required amount of water into a suitable container.

3. Select strength

   Choose standard (100%), young plants (50%) or seedlings with leaves (20%). Strength changes the concentration, not the watering volume needed.

4. Measure concentrate

   Measure the calculated amount accurately with a suitable measuring aid.

5. Mix

   Add the concentrate to the water and mix evenly.

6. Apply as needed

   Feed the already moist root ball when nutrients are needed; do not overwater using a rigid water volume.

Do not mix the entire bottle into the entire bag. Use the compost for repotting and dilute the fertiliser separately with water when later feeding is needed.

10 litres of compost: ingredients

Organic and mineral ingredients for the root zone.

The mix contains slightly to strongly decomposed raised-bog peat (H3–H8), wood fibre and composted bark from forestry, perlite, lava rock and raw clay. Calcium carbonate and NPK fertiliser are also declared ingredients.

Wetting agents make rewetting with water easier. The mix contains peat; proportions of the individual ingredients are not stated on the label.

Declared growing-medium values

Label pH, salt content and nutrients.

Nutrient contents apply when the manufacturer places the product on the market and may vary naturally. After storage, check nutrients before use if necessary.

• Salt content (KCl): 2.0 g/l.
• Nitrogen (N): 260 mg/l (CaCl₂).
• Phosphate (P₂O₅): 330 mg/l (CAL).
• Potassium oxide (K₂O): 570 mg/l (CAL).
• Magnesium (Mg): 110 mg/l (CaCl₂).
• Boron, copper and zinc in horticulturally relevant amounts; individual quantities are not declared.

Fertiliser

• Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not inhale spray mist.
• Wear protective clothing, rubber gloves and safety glasses when handling the product. Use clean, chemically suitable tools and containers.
• Keep away from food and beverages. Wash your face and hands thoroughly after use.
• Official advisory recommendations take precedence.
• Fertilisers can leave stains on surfaces that may not be removable.
• Do not allow fertiliser to enter bodies of water or wastewater.

Dry · dark · above 8 °C to a maximum of 38 °C

Store in a dry, dark place above 8 °C and at no more than 38 °C.

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

• Use diluted fertiliser promptly.

• Do not use undiluted. Shake well before use.
• Preferably use low-lime water or rainwater at 15–25 °C.
• Do not apply in direct sunlight or at temperatures below 5 °C or above 30 °C.
• Apply to a pre-moistened root zone or spray the foliage. Do not spray open flowers.

Compost

Avoid eye contact and unnecessary dust. Keep away from food and animal feed. Store out of reach of children and pets.

Store in a dark place sheltered from the weather.

Protect from drying out, waterlogging and direct sunlight.

Seal opened bags tightly and use the contents as soon as possible.
