For watering the roots in the growing medium, not for spraying leaves. For Monstera and Philodendron, pot size, compost moisture and root development also matter. Water only when needed and allow excess to drain; do not apply the entire guide volume regardless of the pot’s needs. Measure height above the growing medium and plant width, not the length of individual trailing stems.
How the guide is calculated
General GREEN24 guide: height (m) × width (m) × 3–4 litres. Centimetres are converted to metres automatically. The concentrate amount always follows this fertiliser’s dilution and the selected dose level. This guide does not measure individual water demand and is not a hydroponic feeding programme.
Prepare a clean container
Use a clean watering can or sprayer; preferably low-lime water or rainwater at 15–25 °C.
Calculate the amount
Enter your water amount. Select the half dose for young or sensitive plants.
Add some water first
Start by filling the container with part of the chosen water volume.
Shake & measure
Shake the bottle. 1 capful = 5 ml; use a measuring aid for smaller partial amounts.
Add the concentrate
Add the calculated amount of concentrate to the water.
Top up & mix well
Top up to the chosen water volume and mix well. Watering or spraying: see below.
When to feed? Every 2–3 weeks during active growth, usually March–October. Between feeds, water as needed without fertiliser; allow for nutrients already in the compost and previous feeds.
Watering · through the roots
Moisten the root ball first, then distribute the mixture across the root zone. Let excess water drain through the pot; do not leave nutrient solution standing in a cachepot.
Spraying · onto the leaves
Wet the foliage lightly in the morning, evening or under overcast conditions, avoiding open inflorescences. Root and foliar feeding belong to one programme, not two parallel routines.

Compost, other fertilisers & care products
Fresh, pre-fertilised houseplant compost already contains nutrients. Account for these in your routine rather than automatically adding another complete fertiliser. Do not mix undiluted concentrates together.
Like all GREEN24 liquid fertilisers, this fertiliser is mixable individually with Schädlings-Frei-Organic, Trauermückenfrei Organic, KIRON Milben-Ex or Rosen Pilz-Frei BOCCACIO. This confirms mixing with one product at a time, not authorisation for every houseplant. Follow the permitted use, target organism and stricter instructions of both products.

Well mixed – available to leaves and roots
The formulation combines mineral nutrition with straightforward application. For Monstera and Philodendron, the focus is developing foliage, shoots and a healthy root zone.
Protected trace nutrients
Copper, iron, manganese and zinc are bound as EDTA chelates. This helps keep these micronutrients available in solution, including for metabolic processes in broad leaves.
pH buffering in the mixture
The buffer system supports pH regulation in the prepared watering or spray solution. The actual value also depends on the source water; no fixed target pH is promised.
Even coverage on the leaf
Wetting and adherence help distribute the spray solution across the leaf surface, where dissolved nutrients are available for uptake.
Fewer hard-water effects
The formulation helps reduce hardness-related interference and residues on broad leaves. Low-lime water remains a suitable starting point.
For sensitive foliage plants
High plant tolerance with correct use supports foliage development. Choose the half dose for young or sensitive plants; address damaged roots first.
Understanding leaf quality
Appropriate nutrition supports leaf formation and greenness. Leaf finish means an even, well-cared-for appearance, not a sprayed-on gloss coating. Species, light and maturity also shape natural leaf patterns and form.
Chelation binds metal ions and can reduce troublesome hard-water effects; it does not remove calcium and magnesium from the water. Actual pH also depends on your source water. No specific target pH or complete softening is promised.

In Monstera and climbing philodendrons, aerial roots can anchor to a suitable support and contribute to supply when they contact moist growing media. They are not a reason for an extra concentrated spray. Nutrient solution remains part of the regular feeding routine.

A developing leaf unfolds and then matures. Leaf size, shape and Monstera splits depend on species, maturity, light and growing conditions, among other factors. Do not force a leaf open or increase the dose because splits are absent.

Nitrogen supports chlorophyll and protein formation. Phosphorus contributes to energy transfer, while potassium supports water regulation and transport. The formulation supplements these minerals and declared micronutrients; it cannot replace suitable light and root conditions.

Care that follows each flush of growth
Young plant & establishment
For rooted young plants, check root space, moisture and light first. Use the half dose for young or sensitive plants and allow for pre-fertilised compost. Do not treat unrooted cuttings like established potted plants.
New leaves & shoots
When leaves unfold and shoots develop, feeding can be part of the care routine. Keep the feeding interval separate from watering: not every necessary watering needs fertiliser.
Lower light · slower growth
During short days and slower growth, compost often dries more slowly. Check moisture before watering and do not force feeding when growth has stopped. Longer vines do not automatically mean greater demand.
Actual development matters: species, location and season affect the pace. Plant size alone determines neither dose level nor watering volume.

Indoors · enough light to grow
A bright position without harsh midday sun supports leaf development. Gently remove dust from broad leaves. Extra fertiliser cannot compensate for growth slowed by persistently poor light.
Climbing · support the stem
As they grow, Monstera and climbing philodendrons benefit from stable support. Guide the stem without constricting aerial roots or leaf stalks. A support does not justify a stronger nutrient solution.
Trailing or upright · species matters
Heart-leaf philodendron can trail or climb; other philodendrons grow more compactly and upright. Long vines and large leaves reflect different habits, not one common water demand per centimetre.
Pots & repotting · consider the roots
A draining pot and open, stable compost help manage moisture. After repotting, account for nutrients already in the new compost. This guide does not establish a programme for hydroponics or a permanent nutrient reservoir.

Understand houseplant care problems
What is changing on your foliage plant?
Sticky leaves, soft roots and brown margins have different causes. Identify the symptoms first; more fertiliser is not automatically the answer.
Mealybugs and scale
Check leaf axils and undersides for white clusters, scales or honeydew.
Root rot
Check soft roots and persistently wet medium; do not simply water more often.
Brown or small leaves
Check light, watering and root space. Juvenile Monstera leaves naturally have fewer splits.

Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not inhale spray mist. Wear protective clothing, rubber gloves and safety glasses and use clean, suitable equipment. Keep away from food and beverages. Wash hands and face thoroughly after use. Do not allow fertiliser or rinse water to enter drains or bodies of water.

Storage
Storage & product quality
Store in a dry, dark place above +8 °C and no higher than +38 °C. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Keep tightly closed in the original container, separate from food and animal feed.
Avoid strong temperature fluctuations. Excessively high or low storage temperatures can cause discolouration and crystals. These crystals dissolve by the time the product is diluted; this does not affect product quality.
The packaging is suitable for material recycling and marked accordingly. Only send thoroughly cleaned containers to the appropriate recycling system. Never empty residual product or rinsing water into sewers, other drains or bodies of water.
