Choosing 3 or 4 litres changes the approximate amount of prepared solution to apply. The concentration is determined separately by the selected growth stage. Always mix according to the label.
A rough guide for one root application, not an exact water requirement: use your usual watering volume and the substrate’s capacity as a guide. Water the root zone first, then distribute the fertilizer solution evenly. This is not a spray volume for foliar feeding.

- Establish the actual water flow and intended running time.
- Check injection ratio, suction and product suitability against the equipment and product instructions.
- Prepare a flow test with clean water according to the equipment instructions. Do not use the normal watering dilution as continuous injection without checking its suitability.

Mixing with other productsMixing, combining or applying separately
Using products as part of the same care routine is different from mixing them in one container. Follow the labels and application instructions of all products involved.
- Tank mixing: Combine products in a watering can or spray tank only when the manufacturer instructions confirm the specific combination and use. Do not mix undiluted concentrates together.
- Separate application: Applying products separately or at different times does not automatically establish compatibility. Check the species, location, plant condition and instructions for both products. No universal waiting period follows from this.
- Complementary products: A recommendation for suitable growing media, accessories or another care product does not mean that it may be mixed with the fertiliser.
- Plant protection products: The crop, target organism, application method and pack instructions must also be suitable. The fertiliser calculator does not calculate plant protection product quantities or confirm compatibility.
The recommendations cover products for different care tasks. Combining them in the same solution requires the instructions for both products to allow that combination. Otherwise, apply the products separately.

Prepare the amount of nutrient solution you need. The dilution depends on this product and the required amount of water.

Clean the container
Clean the watering can, sprayer or bucket and rinse it with clean water.

Add some water
Pour part of the calculated amount of water into the container first.

Shake, open & measure
Shake the closed bottle well. Then open it and measure the calculated concentrate dose with the dosing cap. Measure more than once if needed.
A full dosing cap holds 5 ml. Use suitable millilitre graduations for smaller amounts.

Add the concentrate
Pour the measured concentrate into the water already in the container.

Add the remaining water & mix
Add the rest of the calculated water and mix thoroughly. Your diluted nutrient solution is ready.

Preferably use low-lime water or rainwater at 15–25 °C. Add the measured concentrate to the water and mix thoroughly. Never apply undiluted; prepare only what you need.

Check growth, growing-medium moisture and previous feeding. Feed only during active growth.

For root feeding, moisten dry growing medium with water first. Check drainage; the pot should not remain standing in water.
Distribute the diluted solution over the pre-moistened root zone or spray the foliage. Do not spray open flowers. Do not apply in direct sunlight, below 5 °C or above 30 °C. Do not inhale spray mist.

An inner layer controls the route
On their way into the root, nutrients meet a special layer of cells. It prevents substances from simply flowing through the gaps between cells and helps the plant control uptake.

Diluted solution is applied to the leaf
For foliar feeding, diluted nutrient solution is sprayed onto the leaves. The product instructions tell you whether it is suitable for this use and how much to apply.

The plant behind the product
The species determines the care
Flowering trees are not a single botanical group. Choose the position, soil and spacing according to the actual species and its mature size. Magnolias, ornamental cherries and other flowering trees differ in their pruning and soil requirements. Check root-ball moisture and drainage before feeding. Yellow leaves alone do not reliably prove nutrient deficiency.

Frequently asked questions
A question before you feed?
How do I dilute Flowering Tree Fertiliser?
The standard dilution is 5 ml per 1.5 litres of water. Under the GREEN24 standard, young plants receive 50 % and seedlings with leaves 20 % of this strength. The calculator converts the amount; the application conditions still apply.
When should I feed?
Apply every two to three weeks during active growth, with a regular season of April to September. Account for dormancy, damaged roots and nutrients already present.
How do the pack sizes differ?
The dilution stays the same. 250 ml makes 75 litres of solution, the twin pack 150 litres and 1 litre of concentrate 300 litres. A twin pack contains two 250 ml bottles.
Can I spray open flowers?
No. Root and foliar feeding are possible, but open flowers must be avoided when spraying. Watering and spraying are alternative routes within the same feeding programme.
Is any tree and shrub compost suitable?
The medium must suit the individual tree. Consider soil reaction, drainage and its nutrient charge. The group profile explains the differences; an all-purpose medium does not automatically suit every species.
Does extra fertiliser guarantee more flowers?
No. Light, age, moisture and suitable pruning also affect flowering. Do not automatically increase concentration when flowering is poor.
