For spraying or watering, depending on the authorised use. The method depends on the plant, pest and location.
View product in our shop →Move a well-rooted young plant into its intended container. Gently moisten a dry root ball first. For balcony or garden growing, acclimatise the plant to outdoor conditions and wait until the last frosts have passed before leaving it outside. Prepare compost, container, watering can and a support for tall tomatoes. Check whether the tomato is grafted; this affects its planting depth.
Tomato varieties need different amounts of space: a compact patio tomato differs from a vigorous cordon variety. Choose a stable container with drainage holes that will suit the mature plant. One bag contains 10 litres of compost. This is the product quantity, not a fixed pot-size recommendation for every tomato. Allow for the existing root ball and a watering rim when estimating how much to use.
Check the holes in the bottom of the container. An outer pot without outlets does not replace a freely draining planting container; a saucer should not remain full of water after watering. Neither should block the drainage holes. Such a layer alone does not prevent waterlogging; open outlets and appropriate watering remain essential.
Support the root ball with one hand and ease off the old container. Gently squeeze the sides of a flexible plastic pot if needed. Do not pull hard on the tender stem. Keep healthy roots intact wherever possible. Inspect unusually soft, foul-smelling or dead roots before proceeding. Routine root pruning is not part of moving a healthy young tomato.
Add an initial layer of Tomato Compost and place the ball on it to check the height. An ungrafted tomato can sit a few centimetres deeper; extra roots may develop along the covered stem. On a grafted tomato, keep the graft union clearly above the final compost surface. Plant peppers and chillies at their previous depth. Leave room below the pot rim for watering.
Fill around the ball in stages and firm lightly with your fingers. Close larger gaps without compacting the compost heavily. Check the planting depth and watering rim again. Install any tomato support at planting time and tie tall stems loosely. This avoids pushing through a densely rooted ball later.
Water slowly into the root zone so that both the existing ball and the fresh compost are moistened. Watch for excess water draining from the bottom. Empty drained water from the saucer or outer pot. If water immediately runs over the top rim, check the surface, watering rim and drainage before continuing.
After watering, gently fill any settling around the sides. Keep the graft union uncovered; retain the original depth for peppers and chillies. As the plant establishes, train it according to its variety. Check moisture regularly in warm containers, daily in hot weather. The product label advises starting supplementary feeding after about six weeks. Match later feeding to growth, nutrients already supplied and the fertiliser label.
5 ml per 2.5 l of water.
With every watering until the fruit is ripe, during the growing season.
Regular application period: March–September.

Shake the concentrate before use.
Pour the required amount of water into a suitable container.
Use standard 100%, young plants 50%, or seedlings with leaves 20% of the basic dilution. Concentration does not determine the watering volume needed.
Measure the calculated amount accurately with a suitable measuring aid.
Add the concentrate to the water and mix evenly.
Feed the already moist root ball when nutrients are needed; do not overwater using a rigid water volume.
Do not mix the entire bottle into the bag. The compost is ready to use; dilute the concentrate separately with water.
Tomato Repotting Set: 10 litres of ready-to-use repotting compost and 250 ml liquid concentrate for later feeding according to need.
The product label recommends starting supplementary feeding after about six weeks. Adjust later feeding to plant development, nutrients already supplied and the directions for the fertiliser used.
NPK 6.7 + 7.0 + 10.5
Declared nutrient percentages. Product pH: 6.9.
Plant materials with raw clay and added fertilisers.
The declared mix contains plant materials from forestry, agriculture, gardening and landscaping, clay (raw clay), calcium carbonate and organic NPK fertiliser with the trace elements iron, copper, boron and zinc.
The growing medium is ready to use and already contains nutrients. The texture photograph shows the compost from the original product listing.
Organic matter, pH, salt content and nutrients from the original label.
The declared nutrient contents apply when the manufacturer places the product on the market and may vary naturally. After storage, check nutrient contents before use if necessary.
Included: one 10-litre bag of compost and one 250 ml bottle of fertiliser. Plant and pot are not included.
Consider rooted young plants and fruit development. Account for the nutrients already in the compost.
Ready to use for tomatoes and vegetable plants in containers, beds and raised beds.
Use directly for potting and planting rooted tomato and vegetable plants. The label also lists use as the top layer in a raised bed.
Prepare a warm, bright position and a sufficiently large container with open drainage holes for tomatoes and peppers. In open ground, check the existing soil structure and drainage.
Ungrafted tomatoes may be planted a little deeper. Keep the graft union above the compost on grafted tomatoes. Plant peppers and chillies at their previous depth.
The product label recommends starting supplementary feeding after about six weeks. Adjust later feeding to plant development, nutrients already supplied and the directions for the fertiliser used.
