QP 273-2 Propagation Set with Capillary Mat

273 integrated cells of 11 ml each provide separate propagation positions. The QP 273-2 tray measures 322 × 522 mm externally. 1 QP 273-2 cell tray, 1 watering tray and 1 capillary mat. Cover and growing medium not included.

1. Prepare the site

   Work on a level, load-bearing surface and check the components for damage.

2. Prepare the assembly

   Place the capillary mat coated side up inside the watering tray, then position the cell tray.

3. Fill the cells

   Fill the cells with suitable propagation medium and moisten gently. Top up medium that settles.

4. Sow or insert cuttings

   Sow seeds or insert suitable cuttings according to the species; choose appropriate sowing depth and location.

5. Monitor moisture

   Maintain water contact with the mat, check growing-medium moisture and avoid overfilling.

6. Transplant and clean

   Gently release rooted plugs from below and transplant in good time. Clean the components afterwards and store dry.

Match light, temperature, sowing depth and moisture to the species. Choose cell size according to root development and the planned growing period.

• Use on a level, stable surface and check for damage.
• Keep bottom openings clear and avoid standing water inappropriate for the crop.
• Support filled trays evenly and carry them carefully.

Remove plant and growing-medium residues, clean gently with water and allow to dry before longer storage.

Before reuse, check for cracks, dirt and a suitable fit.
