STP Watering Tray with Capillary Mat

The tray and capillary mat provide a base for watering from below. They are intended for STP standard cell trays and suitable pots; check the water level and growing-medium moisture regularly.

1. Choose containers

   Prepare an STP cell tray or suitable pots with bottom openings; these are not included.

2. Position the watering tray

   Check the tray and mat for damage and position the tray horizontally.

3. Fit the mat

   Lay the supplied capillary mat flat in the tray and moisten it evenly.

4. Establish water contact

   Add containers filled with growing medium. Their bases must contact the moist mat.

5. Replenish as needed

   Check water level and actual growing-medium moisture regularly and replenish according to plant demand.

6. Keep the system clean

   Remove deposits and plant residues from the tray and mat; dry before longer storage.

Match light, temperature, sowing depth and moisture to the species. Choose cell size according to root development and the planned growing period.

• Use on a level, stable surface and check for damage.
• Place water-bearing components on water-resistant surfaces and keep away from electrical equipment.
• Check water level and growing-medium moisture; do not assume a fixed unattended watering period.

Remove plant and growing-medium residues, clean gently with water and allow to dry before longer storage.

Before reuse, check for cracks, dirt and a suitable fit.
