- Choose a suitable pot
Choose a stable container with a little space for the existing root ball and rhizomes. A greatly oversized pot stays damp longer after watering.
- Keep the previous planting level
Position the root ball at its previous level. Fill and firm gently without burying leaf bases deeper.
- Choose light and ongoing care
Let the compost dry between watering. Start suitable feeding no earlier than four weeks after repotting during growth, and reduce inputs in low light.

Repotting in eight steps
A closer look at the mix
Peat, plant-based structural materials, expanded clay, perlite and lava are included. Loosen before filling and firm gently around the roots.

Choose a suitable pot
Choose a stable container with a little space for the existing root ball and rhizomes. A greatly oversized pot stays damp longer after watering.

Check drainage
Use a container with clear drainage holes. Use a saucer or outer pot so that water cannot remain pooled after watering.

Remove the plant carefully
Loosen the container and lift the snake plant by its root ball. Do not use the leaves or rhizomes as levers.

Check the roots
Gently remove loose old compost. Keep healthy roots; remove soft or dead areas with a clean tool and let substantial fresh cuts dry.

Prepare the compost
Loosen the ready-to-use mix and add a first layer. Do not add extra starter fertiliser.

Keep the previous planting level
Position the root ball at its previous level. Fill and firm gently without burying leaf bases deeper.

Respond to moisture
With intact roots, water gently as needed rather than soaking continuously. Let larger root cuts dry before watering. Allow excess water to drain.

Frequently asked questions
Does this suit Sansevieria and Dracaena?
It is intended for snake plants, traditionally called Sansevieria. These plants are now also placed in Dracaena; this does not imply suitability for every dragon tree.
Do I need to feed immediately after repotting?
No. The mix is pre-fertilised. Wait at least four weeks and match supplementary feeding to actual growth.
Is it peat-free?
No. It includes high-moor peat alongside other plant-based and mineral ingredients.
How often should I water after repotting?
Water according to moisture, light and temperature. Allow the compost to dry between watering and empty the saucer.
