Mesh tree guards, 6 × 55 cm

Place the flexible mesh guard around a young tree trunk as a mechanical barrier. Check that its height and fit cover the part of the trunk you intend to protect.

1. Check the fit

   Check the trunk diameter and area to protect. Choose 55, 80 or 110 cm height; for trunks up to 10 cm in diameter.

2. Fit the guard

   Place the flexible guard around the trunk and adjust it without tools. Avoid damaging or constricting the bark.

3. Monitor the fit

   Check the fit regularly, especially as the trunk thickens. Adjust or remove the guard before it presses into the bark or becomes embedded.

4. Check its condition

   After stress or damage, check that the guard still fits and covers the intended part of the trunk. Replace worn or unsuitable pieces.

Suitability depends on trunk diameter, fit and the protection needed at the site. The flexible construction does not replace regular checks as the tree grows.

• Take care of the bark when fitting the guard; do not tighten it around the trunk.
• Adjust or remove the guard if it presses into the bark, becomes embedded or no longer fits.
• A guard covers only the corresponding part of the trunk; it does not guarantee complete protection from every animal or mechanical stress.

Store unused guards clean and without forcing them out of shape. Check their condition and fit before reuse; do not continue using damaged or unsuitable guards.
