STP QP 77 Watering Set – 77 Cells

This STP set combines 77 growing spaces with a matching base tray. Fill the cells directly with suitable growing medium; no separate pots are needed. The included capillary mat supports watering from below.

1. Position the base tray

   Inspect the base and cell tray for damage. Place the base tray on a level, water-resistant surface.

2. Fit the mat and cell tray

   Lay the capillary filter mat in the base tray with its coated side facing upwards, then place the cell tray on it.

3. Fill and moisten

   Fill the cells directly with suitable growing medium. Moisten until water is present in the base tray; top up settled medium and moisten again.

4. Sow or insert cuttings

   Add seeds or cuttings according to their growing requirements. A cover is not included.

5. Check water and conditions

   Keep the mat in contact with the water surface. Monitor water level and growing-medium moisture without flooding the crop.

6. Maintain and transplant

   Carefully release rooted plants through the bottom openings. Clean the base tray and mat regularly, at least every three weeks, using clear water or neutral soap.

Match light, temperature and sowing depth to the species. Cell size and root development determine the appropriate transplanting stage.

If water is urgently needed, water the cell tray gently from above. For crops with low water demand, removing the mat can reduce capillary supply; continue checking moisture.

Choose water quality and nutrient supply according to the species and growing medium. Fertiliser is not included; follow the instructions of the specific product used.

• Keep water-bearing parts away from electrical and electronic equipment; escaping water can cause electric shock or damage.
• Always carry filled cell trays with their base tray underneath to prevent bending or breakage.
• Monitor water level and growing-medium moisture. Excessive water levels can cause waterlogging and root damage.
• Strong sunlight can deform black components.

Clean the base tray and capillary filter mat according to dirt and temperature, at least every three weeks, using clear water or neutral soap. Warm standing water can encourage algae, fungi and germs.

Remove plant and growing-medium residues. Clean and dry before longer storage; check for damage and clear bottom openings before reuse.
