Capillary Mat for G24 Watering Trays

This pre-cut mat connects the water in a matching G24 tray to the bases of suitable propagation containers. It is approximately 1 cm smaller than the tray around its edges.

Watering tray → capillary mat in contact with water → pot base → growing medium.

1. Match the tray

   Select this pre-cut mat for G24 watering trays with a 53 × 31 cm footprint.

2. Clean the tray

   Clean the watering tray and set it level.

3. Lay the mat

   Lay it flat with the coated side upwards; the clearance around its edges is intentional.

4. Make contact

   Place suitable containers or cell trays with their bases contacting the mat.

5. Check water

   Maintain water contact beneath the mat and check actual moisture in the growing medium.

6. Care for the mat

   Clean regularly according to the original instructions and replace damaged or unsuitable mats.

• Keep water-containing parts away from electrical equipment and installations.
• Check water level and actual substrate moisture regularly; do not assume a fixed unattended watering period.

Clean tray and mat regularly according to dirt and temperature; the original instructions specify clean water or neutral soap at least every three weeks.

Remove plant and substrate residues and allow parts to dry before longer storage.

Before reuse, check for damage and suitable contact between the mat and container bases.
