Repotting in eight steps

1. Choose a suitable pot

   Choose a stable container that gives the root ball a little additional growing space. Avoid an unnecessarily oversized container.

2. Keep drainage clear

   Check drainage holes and prepare a clean saucer. Do not block the holes when filling.

3. Prepare the root ball

   Carefully remove the plant. Remove loose old compost from the outside and gently loosen tightly circling outer roots.

4. Loosen the compost

   Loosen the ready-to-use compost and add a first layer to the container. Do not add extra starter fertiliser.

5. Position the bay laurel

   Position Laurus nobilis with the top of its root ball at the previous level. Leave a watering space below the rim.

6. Fill around the roots

   Fill the sides and firm gently. Stabilise the root ball without heavily compacting the compost.

7. Water and drain

   Water slowly to settle the compost around the roots. Allow excess to drain completely and empty the saucer.

8. Continue care and feeding

   Check root-ball moisture over the following days. Begin appropriate feeding after 4–6 weeks during active growth; reduce inputs in a cool winter position.

Prepare the fertiliser separately

Every 2–3 weeks during active growth.

During active growth

1. Shake

   Shake the concentrate before use.

2. Prepare water

   Pour the required amount of water into a suitable container.

3. Select strength

   Use standard 100%, young plants 50%, or seedlings with leaves 20% of the basic dilution. Concentration does not determine the watering volume needed.

4. Measure concentrate

   Measure the calculated amount accurately with a suitable measuring aid.

5. Mix

   Add the concentrate to the water and mix evenly.

6. Apply as needed

   Feed the already moist root ball when nutrients are needed; do not overwater using a rigid water volume.

Do not mix the entire bottle into the bag. The compost is ready to use; dilute the concentrate separately with water.

High-moor peat (H3–H8), forestry plant materials (wood fibre, bark humus), lava, clay, perlite, calcium carbonate and NPK fertiliser. Includes a wetting agent for easier rewetting.

Fertiliser

• Do not use undiluted. Shake well before use.
• Keep out of reach of children and animals.
• Prefer low-lime water or rainwater at 15–25 °C.
• Do not fertilise in direct sunlight, below 5 °C or above 30 °C.
• Apply to the pre-moistened root zone or spray foliage. Do not spray open flowers.

• Shake before use, measure and mix into the water.
• Account for existing nutrients and plant needs.

Dry and dark

Store above 8 °C and at no more than 38 °C.

Compost

Store under cover

Store sheltered from the weather and in the dark. Protect from drying out, excessive wetness and direct sunlight. Seal opened bags tightly and use promptly.
