Repotting in eight steps

1. Recognise the need to repot

   Check whether roots fill the pot or old compost has lost structure. Repot to help the roots rather than simply following a fixed date.

2. Choose a suitable container

   A stable pot should hold the root ball with some fresh compost around it. Consider stability for tall standards.

3. Keep drainage clear

   Check drainage holes and remove blockages. A closed cachepot needs a removable inner pot with its own drainage. An extra coarse layer cannot replace drainage holes.

4. Release the root ball gently

   Moisten the root ball beforehand if needed. Support its weight, release the pot carefully and do not pull the plant out by its branches.

5. Keep the previous depth

   Add a little compost and set the root ball in place. Keep its top at the previous planting level and do not bury the root collar.

6. Fill around the root ball

   Add compost around the root ball in small amounts and firm lightly. Do not compact it hard; leave watering space below the rim.

7. Water evenly

   Water slowly to moisten the old root ball and fresh compost. Remove surplus water from the cachepot or saucer.

8. Monitor establishment

   The label says to begin supplementary feeding after four to six weeks. Account for need, plant condition and active growth; nutrients already in the compost count towards the total. During the following weeks, check moisture in the old root ball and fresh compost separately.

Prepare the fertiliser separately

5 ml per 2.5 l of water.

Every 1–2 weeks during the growing season.

Regular application period: April/May–September.

1. Shake

   Shake the concentrate before use.

2. Prepare water

   Pour the required amount of water into a suitable container.

3. Select strength

   Use standard 100%, young plants 50%, or seedlings with leaves 20% of the basic dilution. Concentration does not determine the watering volume needed.

4. Measure concentrate

   Measure the calculated amount accurately with a suitable measuring aid.

5. Mix

   Add the concentrate to the water and mix evenly.

6. Apply as needed

   Feed the already moist root ball when nutrients are needed; do not overwater using a rigid water volume.

Do not mix the entire bottle into the bag. The compost is ready to use; dilute the concentrate separately with water.

The original label lists raised-bog peat H3–H5, rock, clay (raw clay), sand of natural origin, calcium carbonate and mineral NPK fertiliser. This product contains peat.

Nutrient levels refer to the time of first placing on the market and may change in storage. Check before using stored compost.

Fertiliser

• Do not use undiluted. Shake well before use.
• Keep out of reach of children and animals.
• Preferably use low-lime water or rainwater at 15–25 °C.
• Do not apply in direct sunlight or at temperatures below 5 °C or above 30 °C.
• Apply to a pre-moistened root zone or spray the foliage. Do not spray open flowers.

Dry · dark · above 8 °C to a maximum of 38 °C

Store in a dry, dark place above 8 °C and at no more than 38 °C.

Compost

Minimise dust and avoid inhaling it. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.

Keep away from food and beverages and out of reach of children and animals. Clean your hands thoroughly after use.

Sheltered from weather and sealed.

Protect from drying out and becoming waterlogged; keep out of direct sunlight. Store cool and dark. Reseal opened packaging tightly and use promptly.
