Preparation and use
The KM3 mat combines woven ribbon fabric, fleece and a PE backing in a cut-to-size XL565 mat. It supports capillary watering of suitable propagating containers and is supplied without a tray.
- Prepare the base
Clean the separately available watertight XL565 tray and position it level.
- Insert the mat
Lay the mat flat on the tray base. Place the PE backing face down.
- Moisten the mat
Moisten evenly with water to establish capillary water supply.
- Position containers
Stand suitable propagating containers with their bases directly contacting the moist mat.
- Monitor moisture
Check mat and growing-medium moisture regularly and add water as needed. Avoid overfilling and match the plants’ needs.
- Clean and reuse
Remove plant residues, clean the mat and tray and dry before longer storage.
