STW-150 – Propagation House with 150 Rockwool Cubes

STW-150 provides 150 propagation positions with rockwool cubes in a connected multi-cell tray. The propagator belongs to the G24 system with a 53 × 31 cm base format. A base tray, capillary mat and matching cover are included.

1. Prepare the cubes

   Rinse the rockwool cubes thoroughly in clean water. Prepare a clean container large enough for soaking.

2. Soak for at least 24 hours

   Soak the cubes for at least 24 hours in water at pH 5.5–6.5. Check the pH of the prepared water.

3. Drain and use while moist

   Remove the cubes and allow excess water to drain. Then use them while moist for sowing.

4. Position the tray and sow

   Position the base tray with its moist capillary mat and fit the cell tray. Place the moist cubes in the intended cells. Add seeds in the centre; choose covering and sowing depth according to the species. Insert suitable cuttings carefully.

5. Monitor moisture and conditions

   Check cube moisture regularly and add water as needed. Check the pH of water used during propagation. Avoid prolonged standing water. Lift or remove the cover for ventilation as needed and monitor temperature.

6. Grow young plants on

   Carefully remove sufficiently rooted cubes and transplant into a growing medium suitable for the species. Do not pull the shoots. Clean reusable plastic parts after use.

STW belongs to the G24 system with a 53 × 31 cm base format. Base format and individual component outer dimensions are different measurements. Replacement parts and additions must match the specific STW version; STP is a separate system.

• Handle the cubes gently and work cleanly during preparation. Position water-bearing parts securely on a suitable surface.
• Avoid persistent waterlogging; draining is part of preparation.

Store unused material clean and protected. Remove residues from reusable plastic parts after growing and clean them. Check for damage before reuse.
