40 Rockwool Cubes with G24 Tray – QP D 40/4P-40

The matching cubes sit in one connected 40-cell tray. The 40 × 40 × 40 mm format provides individual propagation positions for seeds and suitable cuttings. The G24 tray with cubes can be combined with matching base trays.

1. Prepare the cubes

   Rinse the rockwool cubes thoroughly in clean water. Prepare a clean container large enough for soaking.

2. Soak for at least 24 hours

   Soak the cubes for at least 24 hours in water at pH 5.5–6.5. Check the pH of the prepared water.

3. Drain and use while moist

   Remove the cubes and allow excess water to drain. Then use them while moist for sowing.

4. Position the tray and sow

   Support the tray securely on a matching base tray, supplied separately. Place the moist cubes in the intended cells. Add seeds in the centre; choose covering and sowing depth according to the species. Insert suitable cuttings carefully.

5. Monitor moisture and conditions

   Check cube moisture regularly and add water as needed. Check the pH of water used during propagation. Avoid prolonged standing water.

6. Grow young plants on

   Carefully remove sufficiently rooted cubes and transplant into a growing medium suitable for the species. Do not pull the shoots. Clean reusable plastic parts after use.

Cube and cell dimensions differ and are matched to each other. The same cell count does not establish interchangeability: the KGT-77 system uses 40 mm cubes, while G24-77 versions use 36 × 36 × 40 mm cubes.

• Handle the cubes gently and work cleanly during preparation. Position water-bearing parts securely on a suitable surface.
• Avoid persistent waterlogging; draining is part of preparation.

Store unused material clean and protected. Remove residues from reusable plastic parts after growing and clean them. Check for damage before reuse.
