Assembly and use
The lightweight tall 8440 cover is primarily intended for G24 trays with 40 or 84 cells. Around 7–10 cm of usable height provides room above the crop; other G24 trays have only a limited, looser fit.
The thin, lightweight cover sits on a compatible tray. It is not suitable for STP trays.
- Check the format
The cover is primarily intended for G24 trays with 40 or 84 cells. Other G24 trays fit only loosely with limitations; STP is excluded.
- Check plant height
Allow for approximately 7–10 cm usable height. Do not press leaves against the cover.
- Fit the cover
Handle the thin cover gently around its edges and seat it correctly.
- Monitor conditions
Observe temperature, humidity and condensation and ventilate as needed. The cover has no factory-opened vents.
- Assess permanent ventilation
If needed, the thin recessed upper corners can be carefully cut open with a knife for permanent ventilation. Check ventilation needs before making this change.
- Clean and store
Remove plant debris, clean gently and store dry without pressure on the cover.

- Lift the thin, lightweight cover carefully and do not load it.

Clean gently with water, remove growing-medium residues and allow to dry before storage.
Check for cracks and a suitable fit before reuse.

Does the cover fit STP trays?
No. It is intended for the stated G24 formats; STP is explicitly excluded.
Does it have adjustable vents?
