FELCO 990 synthetic grease, 30 g

FELCO 990 synthetic lithium/calcium grease lubricates the contact surfaces of manual pruning shears, loppers and cable cutters. Its paste consistency supports targeted application at the lubrication point. Supplied as one 30 g tube of the discontinued FELCO 990 version.

1. Prepare the tool

   Place the tool securely and access its lubrication point following the maintenance instructions. Keep fingers clear of the cutting edges.

2. Clean the contact surfaces

   Remove dirt and old residues from the intended lubrication point. Do not use unverified cleaning agents or mixtures.

3. Apply grease precisely

   Apply a small amount to the intended grease pocket or contact surface between blade and counterblade. Follow the model-specific instructions for quantity.

4. Check movement

   Reassemble according to the tool instructions and check movement. Wipe off surplus grease, close the tube and wash hands.

• The original safety data sheet lists FELCO FETT 990 as not classified under CLP, with no hazard pictograms, signal word or hazard statements.
• Keep away from food, drinks and feed. Wash hands before breaks and after work; do not inhale vapours or aerosols.
• Wear impermeable, product-resistant gloves and observe the glove supplier’s breakthrough time. Wear protective work clothing. The SDS says respiratory protection is unnecessary with good ventilation; for aerosol or mist formation it specifies A2, A2/P2 or ABEK.
• Wash skin residues off with soap and water. Rinse opened eyes for several minutes with water. After inhalation provide fresh air and seek medical advice if symptoms occur. If swallowed, seek immediate medical advice.
• Prevent entry into drains, surface water and groundwater. Collect residues and consult the local waste service on disposal; dispose of uncleaned packaging according to local requirements.

Close the tube after use and store away from food and feed. The SDS gives no special storage temperature. Do not mix with other maintenance products.
