Dr. Stähler caterpillar and ant glue band, 2.5 m

Fit before the frost period in early October for winter moths. It can be used throughout the year against climbing ants.

Fit closely at a height of 60–80 cm. Cut to the trunk circumference plus 3 cm overlap, with the adhesive facing outwards. Tie above and below the adhesive. Fill bark recesses with clay without injuring the tree.

Cut vertical slits approximately every 5–10 cm in the upper paper collar and bend it outwards to let water drain. Face the overlap away from prevailing winds and protect support stakes below the tree tie.

Check after storms and remove adhering leaves that could form a bridge. Remove winter-moth bands in May or replace them for continued protection against ants.
