A dark path makes pale sand and planted islands stand out. These washed, extra-fine anthracite basalt chippings add structure to a miniature landscape – as a narrow path, a stone area or a contrasting border.

The landscaped scene shows a design example. You receive 1 kg of basalt chippings; the frame, plants and other decorations are not included.

Run a narrow path between planted areas or create a continuous dark surface. Pale sand provides a clear contrast; natural-coloured gravel creates a softer transition.

1. Plan the lines

   Try out the course of your path. A simple curve often gives a more spacious impression than many small areas.

2. Spread the chippings

   Spread the chippings over the decorative area. A temporary divider helps keep the edges between different materials neat.
