Small Roses, Big Impact: GREEN24 Specialized Fertilizer for Miniature & Ground Cover Roses
Miniature roses and ground cover roses are the problem-free all-rounders in the garden, on the balcony, and even in cemeteries. They delight with their robustness and incredible flower abundance in the smallest space. But even these small powerhouses need adapted nutrition to unfold their full potential and form dense, healthy flower carpets. Our specialized fertilizer is precisely tailored to the needs of these compact rose classes.
The World of Compact Roses
The Genus: Rosa – Small Giants
Even the smallest roses belong to the large and diverse genus Rosa. Their breeding specifically aimed at low, dense growth and extreme robustness.
The Class: Miniature Roses
- Description: Miniature roses are miniature versions of large hybrid tea or floribunda roses. They usually grow only 20-40 cm tall and have small leaves and flowers that are in perfect proportion to the plant.
- Use: Ideal for pot and container culture on balconies and terraces, for bed edging, rock gardens, and grave planting.
- Famous Varieties: 'Zwergenkönig 78' (red), 'Little Sunset' (yellow-orange), 'Guletta' (cream yellow).
The Class: Ground Cover Roses (Small Shrub Roses)
- Description: Ground cover roses are characterized by broad, often overhanging growth. They form dense mats and are extremely robust and low-maintenance. Many carry the coveted ADR award that distinguishes particularly healthy varieties.
- Use: Perfect for low-maintenance greening of areas, slopes, and banks. They suppress weeds and create blooming carpets.
- Famous Varieties: 'The Fairy' (pale pink, continuous bloomer), 'Heidetraum' (pink, very robust), 'Gärtnerfreude' (bright red, ADR rose), 'Snow Carpet' (white).
The Science of Dense Flower Carpets
The Compact Growth Formula
Our fertilizer specifically promotes the characteristics desired in these rose classes:
- Nitrogen (N) in Balance: Enough nitrogen for healthy foliage but not too much to promote compact growth and prevent long, bare shoots.
- High Phosphorus (P): Promotes explosive flower formation so the plant is covered with blooms.
- Very High Potassium (K): The key to robustness. Potassium strengthens cell walls, increases resistance to drought stress and fungal diseases, and ensures bright flower colors.
- Iron & Manganese: A special complex against leaf yellowing (chlorosis) that occurs particularly frequently in container culture.
Simple Application for Low-Maintenance Beauty
